Yvette Way, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, now calls Atlanta, Georgia her home. She earned her BA in Communication from Curry College. Yvette's passion for writing ignited in fourth grade, but it blossomed into a love for fiction during her sophomore year of high school. It was then that a teacher sparked her interest by introducing her to authors like Dr. Maya Angelou. Encouraged by this mentor, she began contributing to the creative newsletter he initiated. That was the beginning of what would be a love affair with writing. During college she began with journalistic pursuits that included interviewing two Boston legends, Sarah Ann Shaw and George “Boomer” Scott. After college writing short stories, which would later become her novels, was a form of therapy. In 2006 she took the first step of becoming an author by self publishing What’s A Sista To Do after she got negative feedback from publishers due to having a bisexual character in the novel. She didn’t let that discourage her, she continued writing and in 2023 she reimagined What’s A Sista To Do and two other titles, Story Of Two and Takedown. In 2024 she developed a self awareness journal titled You Are So…Journal Of Self Awareness. She is currently working on two YA Romance books in her Falling For series.
